Visa for Tanzania.
Where possible, Delegates are strongly advised to obtain visa from their resident countries to facilitate their travel arrangements.
Nationals of the following countries do not need entry visa to Tanzania:
Anguilla, Antigua & Barbuda, Ashmore & Cartier Island, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, Botswana, British Indian Ocean Territory, British Virgin Islands, Brunei, Cayman Islands, Channel Island, Christmas Island, Cocos Island, Cook Islands, Cyprus, Dominica, Falkland Island, Gibraltar, Grenada, Guernsey, Guyana, Heard Island, Hong Kong, Isle of Man, Jamaica, Jersey, Kenya, Kiribati, Lesotho, Macao, Malawi, Malaysia, Malta, Mauritius, Mc Donald Island, Montserrat, Mozambique, Namibia, Naue Islands, Nauru, Norfolk Island, North Ireland, Papua New Guinea, Pitcairn Island Group, Rwanda, Romania, Ross Dependency, Saint Lucia, Scotland, Seychelles, Singapore, Solomon Island, St. Helena, St. Kitts & Navis, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Swaziland, Tokelau, Tonga, Trinidad & Tobago, Turks & Caicos, Tuvalu, Uganda, Vanuatu, Wales, Western Samoa, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
Countries NOT listed above require entry visa to Tanzania.
Most nationalities can get a visa valid for 3 months on arrival at the border for a fee of USD50 to USD100 or Euro 50 to Euro 100. Multiple entry visas may be as high as USD 200 or Euro 200 depending on the type of visa. It is possible to obtain a visa on arrival at one of the following two points of entries in Tanzania, namely:
i. Julius Nyerere International Airport (JNIA)
ii. Zanzibar International Airport (ZIA)
iii. Kilimanjaro International Airport
Nationals of the following countries must obtain Referred Visa.
Afghanistan, Algeria, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Chan, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Liberia, Libya, Mali, Morocco, Niger, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria, Togo, Tunisia, Turkey, Yemen.
A REFFERED VISA is one that the applicant requires special clearance or permission from the Headquarters of Immigration in Tanzania in order to get the visa.
Applicants from this group are advised to send copies of relevant pages of their passports and travel itineraries to our Visa Coordinators (Ms. Zalia Mbeo – zambeo@hq.bot-tz.org and Mr. Malkias Mombo – mmmombo@hq.bot-tz.org) to assist them obtain the required clearance and visa upon arrival from the Immigration Office
