LOCATION

The Bank of Tanzania Training Institute is located at Capri-point in Mwanza city. It is about 1 km. from town centre, off station road. The Institute is well located, facing the shores of the Great Lake Victoria.

MWANZA

Mwanza is the second largest city in Tanzania, located on the heart of Lake Victoria, about 1175 kms (1 hour flying time) north of Dar-es-Salaam, the capital of Tanzania. Mwanza is also nearer to other cities of East Africa; Nairobi, Kampala and Kigali.

ESTABLISHMENT AND OBJECTIVES

The Bank of Tanzania Training Institute has been established with the overall objective of imparting the necessary knowledge and skills which will enable staff of the Bank of Tanzania and other financial institutions perform better in their daily tasks. Similarly, it has the overall aim of equipping staff of the financial sector with skills to evolve and implement sound monetary policies.

FACILITIES

The Bank of Tanzania Training Institute is equipped with modern teaching facilities; including air-conditioned classrooms and seminar rooms, special computer room, library and a modern conference hall.

There is also an  in-campus hostel, with the capacity of 60 participants at a time, and a classic restaurant.

Surrounding the campus are excellent recreational facilities including lawn-tennis courts, table tennis facilities and a satellite-connected TV. The vicinity also offers beatiful opportunity for jogging and/or walking.
